Dr. Christopher O'Toole, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Growing up in North Bay with 3 dogs, 4 cats and numerous horses helped Chris realize his affinity for animals. In 1999 he graduated from the University of Toronto with an HBSc in zoology and physiology. He then completed his veterinary degree at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004. After spending four years honing his skills at a fast paced downtown Toronto practice, he decided to open his own clinic in Bloor West Village. Chris has lived in the Bloor West Village area for three years with his beautiful wife, his wheaten terrier Oscar, and the latest additions, his twin boy and girl. His professional interests include surgery, internal medicine and dentistry. He also readily combines alternative medicines into his practice. Outside of work, Chris enjoys sports such as Ultimate Frisbee, tennis, and volleyball, going for bike rides and runs with his dog, and reading. He is happy to have the opportunity to care for the companion animals of Toronto's West End.
Dr. Eva Chung, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr Eva Chung graduated from the Ontario Veterinary Collage in 2007. Prior to studying veterinary medicine, Eva completed a Bachelor degree in Zoology at the University of Guelph. Her professional interests include animal behaviour and internal medicine.
When not at the Bloor West Animal Clinic, Eva enjoys spending time with her family and rambunctious pug, Charlie.
Amy Parisien, Registered Veterinary Technician
Amy graduated from Seneca College in April of 2008 and has been working closely alongside Dr. O'Toole and Dr. Chung as a Veterinary Technician ever since. She takes special interest in dentistry and emergency care. She currently has 2 dogs (Noah & Jessie), 1 cat (Felix), and 2 hamsters (Nella & Zucchini). She loves being able to spend her days helping pets that bring so much love, joy and companionship to their owners. Her interests outside of work include spending time with her family and friends, reading, playing with her dogs and ceramic painting.
Pamela Chan, Veterinary Assistant
Pam graduated from the University of Guelph in the spring of 2010, with a BSc (honours) in Biological Science and a minor in Zoology. Her professional interests include reproductive physiology, animal welfare, and conservation biology. Pam has worked with a variety of wild and domestic species in a number of different settings, and is excited to be gaining experience in the field of veterinary medicine. During her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her friends, family, and quirky dog, Lady.
Bevlyne Kumar, Veterinary Assistant
Bev graduated with a BSc in Biological Sciences from Queen's University in 2009. She has always had a great love and appreciation for animals and enjoys working alongside the staff at Bloor West Village Animal Hospital. She hopes to continue working with a variety of diverse animals in the future. In her spare time, Bev enjoys reading, music, astronomy and spending time with her family, friends, and African Grey Parrot, Chika.
Christy Van Buskirk
Christy has always had a deep love for animals. She recently graduated from Sheridan College, and has a diploma in animal sciences and a certificate in Animal Care. This is her first time working in a clinic and hopes to gain lots of knowledge and hands on experience with animals. She has a special interest in large exotic animals, and hopes to work with them more in the future. Christy also enjoys reading, hiking, and leatherworking.
